THE BASIC SET
One of the many reasons to go to Boss Frog's is that the basic set is only $1.50 per day and $9 per week. With this price they give you a small jug of anti-fogging juice called "Frog Spit©." Don't let the name disuade you from using it; it will keep your vision clear and ultimately enhance your experience. As well as the jug, you'll be given a free snorkel map (which the staff will highlight the best spots with clearest conditions at that time), and they give a free fish ID chart for you take with you and mark down what you've seen. That's not the end of it! With a weeks rental($9), and a small ticket fee($7), they throw in a free snorkel boat trip on the Frogman II, a 55 ft power catamaran. So now you understand why we like Boss Frog's so much.They also have everything you need for the beach.
THE COMFORT SET
Now we get into silicone masks. Why pay $5 dollars a day or $20 a week for this upgrade? Once you've tried it on, you'll see that the material forms a perfect seal and is most comfortable. There are many styles and brands which will be fitted to work best on your unique facial curvature. Along with this new silicone mask, better fins, and a quality "j" type snorkel, you receive all the same free stuff as listed in the basic set above. For a few extra dollars, you get a much better snorkel experience.
THE EASY BREATHE SET
With this set you receive the same comfort mask and fins from above, only you get the patented
Impulse II ® Easy Breathe Dry Snorkel by Jacques Cousteau's company, US Divers.
When you are snorkeling, water is always going to come into the top of the tube. Whether you dive down 30 feet to check out a smiling crustacean or you just float on top and turn your head a little, water will enter your snorkel. This has been true since the cavemen snorkeled with a piece of bamboo in their mouth and it still is. With the Easy Breathe snorkel however, the water that enters the top exits out of the patented circular one-way valve long before is ever reaches your mouth. No salt water in your mouth - no need to blow the water out. Just your regular breathing keeps this snorkel dry! For $8 per day, or $30 a week, you get all the free stuff as well as the top of the line snorkel, quality fins, and silicone mask.
THE OPTICAL SET
Boss Forg's snorkel rentals are equiped with optical sets for those of you that need a little extra visual help. For the nearsighted snorkeler, they have masks with diopter numbers from -2.0 to -7.0. For $10 per day, or $35 per week, you get one of these special masks and all of the gear listed in the easy breathe set and all the freebies!
